Embodied Telehealth Clinical Consultation Group
The Embodied Telehealth Clinical Consultation Group is a small monthly professional consultation group for psychotherapists who want to deepen their capacity for embodied, relational, and somatically informed work in the virtual therapy room. 2nd Thursdays 8:30-10am via Google Meet. $85/session.
Facilitated by Eileen D. Wurst, Ph.D., LMHC, somatic psychotherapist, educator, and researcher of embodied telemental health, the group brings together clinical consultation, experiential practice, emerging research, and collegial reflection.
What We Explore
Each meeting provides space to bring actual clinical questions and experiences from telehealth practice while exploring topics such as:
-
Therapeutic presence and attunement through the screen
-
Recognizing somatic and nonverbal cues in virtual sessions
-
Interoceptive awareness and therapist self-awareness
-
Supporting clients in reconnecting with bodily experience
-
Working with silence, breath, pacing, gaze, posture, and movement online
-
Somatic interventions that translate effectively to telehealth
-
Therapeutic alliance and relational depth in virtual psychotherapy
-
Therapist grounding and nervous-system regulation
-
Screen fatigue, disconnection, and diminished embodied presence
-
Technology disruptions and their effects on the therapeutic relationship
-
Ethical and clinically appropriate integration of mindfulness and body-based practices
-
Maintaining embodiment while simultaneously attending to documentation, technology, and clinical decision-making
Clinical cases and questions brought by participants help shape each meeting.
Who Is This For?
The group may be especially useful for:
